A UNIQUE TRIBUTE TO PROF ANIL KUMAR
FROM ALUMNUS BROTHER ASHWIN SURESH
FROM ALUMNUS BROTHER ASHWIN SURESH
There are different ways to express tribute. Above is a unique tribute from our Alumnus brother Ashwin Suresh. Prof. Anil Kumar heard him mimic his voice first time last year and was highly enthused by Ashwin's talent. This tribute is done after learning about Prof. Anil Kumar's merger in Swami's Lotus Feet. It is as if Prof. Anil Kumar is giving his message to us. The voice is Ashwin Suresh.
TRIBUTES TO PROF ANIL KUMAR (MY FATHER-IN-LAW)
-Sriram Rupanagunta
-Sriram Rupanagunta
I should admit I had not known my father-in-law too well for several years after getting married. We moved to the US soon after we got married, and except during our annual visits for vacation in India, I did not have much interaction with him. This was long before the days of telecom advances and social media, so we hardly used to speak over the phone either.
I got to know him more intimately after we moved back to Bangalore, and we started visiting my in-laws in Puttaparthi more frequently. I started noticing a few of his incredible qualities that I took for granted initially, but started realizing their importance gradually! I decided to write about them mostly for the benefit of the younger generation, including his grandkids.
One of the striking qualities of my father inlaw, which is hard to miss for anyone who may have interacted with him for more than a few minutes, is his love and enthusiasm for life, which is infectious! One would rarely see him unhappy or brooding over problems. He could strike a conversation with anyone regardless of their interests or age and connect with them in ways which are hard to emulate.
There is a saying that a Great teacher is someone who never stops learning! My father in law exemplified this more than anyone else I have come across. He never stopped learning until his last breath, and this is not out of any obligation or teaching assignments, but his genuine curiosity at learning. He would of course not keep this to himself, and would find the next opportunity to share it with others. When he was visiting us in Bangalore a few months before his passing, when he was already 80+ years old, I took him out for a short walk, and he was quizzing me on some of the technological advances like Machine Learning and its applications, and listening with his child-like demeanor!! You would never find even a trace of a “I have been there, done it - there is nothing new to learn” attitude which is worth emulating by any of us at any age.
Another quality I have seen is his open minded nature. Though he had strong views of his own, he was not dogmatic about his beliefs, and never imposed them on others, including his family members, and always listened to other points of views without any prejudice. And after these discussions, he would readily agree to others if he sees merit, regardless of who the other person is.
Last but not the least, his amazing sense of humour is hard to miss, and it was a common sight to find him with a large group, all of whom eagerly waiting for his witty stories, parables and repartees. He would be the life and soul of any party or a group! I have never seen occasions where he would forget people he met in his life, regardless of the number of years that might have passed. He had a phenomenal memory and when people would come to visit him, he would ask not only about them, but also about the relatives and other common friends he would have met years earlier!
Prof. Anil Kumar touched the lives of scores of people all over the world, and would continue to inspire people after his passing.
It is hard to come to terms with the fact, especially for his close family, that he is no more, but the best homage to him would be to celebrate his life !

Sai Ram,
Professor Anil Kumar was a diamond who never stopped touching the hearts and spirits of everyone he encountered. He was so incredibly close to God incarnate, yet totally humble and approachable at the same time. He showed love and respect to everyone, giving relentlessly of his time and energy in spreading the teachings of our beloved Swami.
I'll never forget how Prof. Kumar invited my teenage daughter to speak at a youth conference, surrounding her with encouragement and support at what was personally a difficult time for her. She felt safe enough, through his love and encouragement, to share a vulnerable story that touched and inspired some of the other youths at the event. I've always known that this was transformative for her and I am grateful to him for facilitating the experience.
Prof. Kumar was genuine, lighthearted, and joyful. He showed us that there's no place for stuffiness in matters of spirit, that God is joyful and playful. He never took for granted the blessings that were bestowed upon him, and so he shared them with all of us beyond measure.
What an incredible legacy to leave behind. What a life so beautifully lived. I picture the heavens welcoming Prof. Kumar with great fanfare, an image that leaves a smile on my face in spite of sadness at his loss. How fortunate I feel to have known him and learned from his example.
In love and gratitude,

A TRIBUTE TO THE BELOVED DEVOTEE AND FRIEND OF ALL,
PROF ANIL KUMAR KAMARAJU
PROF ANIL KUMAR KAMARAJU
Though it may feel like a very sad day to us, it is a Divine day for our beloved Prof Anil Kumar. Most suddenly and unexpectedly, Swami called him to His Lotus Feet. Prof Anil Kumar was taken to the SSSSH on April 1st. He merged with our Swami at 10:10 AM on Wednesday, April 3rd, while the Sri Sathya Sai Super Specialty Hospital sound system was playing the Hanuman Chalisa, a divine Sai-incidence and a tribute to His Hanuman.
The life and activities of Prof Anil Kumar are beyond human capabilities and comprehension. Throughout over 50 years of association with Swam, He selflessly and tirelessly, spread Sai's Divine message of love and unity throughout his native state of Andhra Pradesh, and later gradually throughout the world, during numerous trips abroad to many countries. He also was a central figure in the Sai Institutes of Higher Learning, first being the Principal in Whitefield college in the early 80's and later the Botany Professor at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning at Prasanthi Nilayam campus. He has known and inspired thousands of Sai students as well as nurturing and answering questions of thousands of national as well as international devotees.
Sitting in his presence, one can feel Swami's divine vibrations of joy and love permeating the room. One enters his room confused about some problem or question, and leaves with a light heart full of joy and understandingas his questions on any topic, be it practical or spiritual, were clearly answered by this most loving Sai missionary. Anyone who knows Prof Anil Kumar will have wonderful stories to relate about him and how he has guided and helped them along their spiritual way by his words of wisdom, which were always a total reflection and repetition of Bhagawan's Divine messages.
May we bow our heads in gratitude to Swami that He sent us to this most loving and beloved Divine soul to help us all on our way to the goal of satchitananda or the Divine consciousness of Sathyam Sivam Sundaram. We can rejoice having known him and knowing that he has reached the ultimate goal.

Can one catch a gushing river’s flow?
Or keep up with the wind’s swift blow?
You kept step with the message divine,
Echoing the sacred truth, in speech sublime.
There were many of matchless fame,
But you alone remembered our name.
And when Sai joked or laughed with you,
He was laughing with us in our view.
Spirituality is fun, you’d say,
Being grumpy is not the devotee’s way.
With such humour you made Sai laugh,
That He held His sides and pressed you to stop.
You were the blue Safari in a sea of white,
A booming voice with words sweet and light,
A scholarly intellect with the heart of a child,
You were a delightful dichotomy to put it mild.
How many troubles lay beneath those loving eyes?
How many aches did your tender heart endure?
Yet like the moon’s soft glow in deep dark skies,
You reflected His love, sublime and pure.
Atlanta or Anakapalli, Twas all in your stride,
Spreading the message of Sai, far and wide,
A translator, a teacher, a scholar divine,
Your life’s work will forever shine.

The first time I met Prof. Anil Kumar, I fell in love with his joyful personality. He taught me that no matter how spiritual you are, laughter is an important part of being close to God. He was always full of humor and happiness. I remember us dancing together to the drums after a bhajan, feeling like there wasn't a care in the world.
When Prof. Anil Kumar spoke, he always said something that I needed to hear. My family and I are so blessed that we have Sailaja and her family in Milwaukee, which allowed us to have an ongoing spiritual connection with him and bring us closer to the Sai community. Professor Kumar was an inspiration to our family and we will always miss him and be better because of his example of humility and love.

"Manasa Bhajare guru charanam..", while being sung by sakshat Bhagawan on one day and the same sung again and again all over the world by His mahabhakth - we being a party to that situation, the aura and the spiritual journey is that of a poorva janma sukrutam for all of us.
Prof KAK was a sight to me that of a fair complexioned person in fair white robes, cycling and cycling and approaching me near 7th line Arundelpet in Guntur. What a talk, grace and motivation for my child mind during those days.
"Today evening - special talk by Prof KAK" was what I used to read on blackboards kept in "Srirama navami Pandillu" and attend those discourses.
After the Bhakth reached his God in Puttaparthi and that was a journey to inspire many like me. He Prof KAK had a special liking for me for my Bhagavadgeeta recitations.
Whenever I get free time I listen to his youtube presentations which are eternal to me.

We have known Prof. Anil Kumar garu for a long time, initially through our dears friends Sailaja and Yeseswini and later by the close bond shared between the families of my father-in-law Dr. Jeedigunta Ramchandra Rao garu and the professor.
Anil Kumar garu made the spreading of Swami's word and teachings his life's sole purpose. I have never seen him speak or think about anything other than Swami's lessons / admonishments in every breath of his life. He was ever ready to recollect incidents from the past that were apt for the situation. And his close association with Swami, Sri Sathya Sai Baba varu, gave him an inexhaustible store of incidents where Swami's gestures, words and actions to teach / correct his devotees were uplifting.
His renditions and love for peppy bhajans was contagious. Time would pass so quickly in his company that one left the gathering wishing that they could spend more time with him.
Blessed with exceptional memory and being very well read he could recite appropriate verses and texts from various sources impromptu to embellish his talks.
Our sincere thanks for this opportunity to express our recollections and love for Anil Kumar uncle. We will cherish his memories forever.

Bangalore move
I am walking with two young beautiful girls by my side "
Thanks to my dear friends Sailaja and Yeseswini for giving me this opportunity.

A TRIBUTE FROM HIS STUDENT IN THE 70'S, RAVINDRA KUMAR

In 2007 my husband, myself and our two daughters visited Parthi . We met Prof Anil Kumar. He was so kind to us in so many ways, including inviting us to his home and even sharing food with us, which he said was the prasad from Baba ‘s very own evening tiffin.
I will never forget. Even now sometimes I would text him after listening to one of his talks and he would reply ever so graciously.
I am from Malaysia and I can’t help crying, thinking of his life and the msg he spread.🥺
My condolences to his family and ppl of Puttaparthi.
Indeed a great loss!

For students of the seventies and eighties in Guntur, Anil Kumar Sir is nothing less than an icon. Very pleasing personality, excellent teacher and a great scholar on many subjects. He was the first person to be selected as Rotary Scholar and toured entire US lecturing on various topics.
Post retirement, he devoted his entire life at the lotus feet of Puttaparti Saibaba. He used to translate his Telugu speeches into English. Even after Baba’s demise, he continued to stay in Putaparti.
I used to have close personal interaction in those days.

Sairarmmmm! Pranaam to the most Beloved Child of Baba , Prof AK Sir🙇♂ , who had the rarest privilege and divine heavenly gift of being an Arjuna to Lord Krishna, of this Kaliyuga,.... and just as Bharatha, Prof AK sir had carried the Feet & Message of Lord Rama for the past 14 years and lived and exemplary life of Nothingness!
It's SPL loving blessing that Swami called him back to His Lotus Feet which Sir had been praying for the past 14 years! What a divine merger!!! Certainly He and His family and His Team assisted our Central Trust in numerous ways and have the SPL blessing of Baba to transform tens of thousands of devotees and non devotees as ardent Devotees of Baba!
We, several Sevadal members had the rare privilege of working under his leadership while he was our State President of AP State! Likewise tens of thousands of His students of Swami's University were benefitted by His exemplary Sadguru teachership & leadership!
Swami sent him as His Ambassador & envoy to USA, JAPAN, EUROPE, Asian countries and to all continents to show the charming taste of Sai love & Baba's valuable teachings!!!! Likewise there's no State in India that hasn't been touched by Prof AK sir, ... and His selfless seva!
Swami loved him and his family beyond words and therefore made him as HIS VOICE! More than anything else, he had no iota of ego or any envy and treated all big and small, rich and poor, young and old as the very forms of Baba, and guided us all in the Sai Path!
May Swami Varu fill his Vaccum and bless him, his divine Ma'amji & family and noble children and divine grandchildren and us all devotees and make us walk in His pathways. Our collective Pranaam to the Swami's Own Beloved Shri AK Sir 🙇♂🙇♂🙇♂🙇♂

Dear Aunty and Family,
It is with a heavy heart that we extend our deepest condolences to you and your family on this sad day. The shocking news came so unexpectedly that we are still in disbelief – it was only a few weeks ago that I talked to him. During this sorrowful time, we reflect on the many blessings Anil Kumar Uncle brought into our lives and the indelible mark he has left on our hearts.
Anil Uncle was more than a friend to our family; he was a spiritual beacon, guiding us with unwavering faith and devotion towards Sai Baba. His profound spirituality and dedication were a source of inspiration and strength for all of us, illuminating our paths with the light of wisdom and compassion. It was through his close friendship with dad and mom that we witnessed the true essence of devotion and selfless service, virtues that Anil Uncle embodied so gracefully in every aspect of his life. Everyone in or family remembers the days you spent with us in Gurgaon and the wonderful times we got to spend each time we visited Puttaparthi. These personal moments underscore the depth of Anil Uncle's spiritual and familial bonds with us.
Beyond his spiritual journey, Anil Uncle's generosity and love knew no bounds. He was always there for our family, offering his support in times of need and sharing in our moments of joy. His affection for Sonu and Kuky was akin to that of a loving uncle, always interested in their well-being and nurturing their growth with kindness and encouragement. We cherish the day you and Uncle visited us in Atlanta and gave us your blessings. It was almost a decade ago he gave me his collection of books on religion and spirituality, that I have kept close to me in my office as well as my home.
Anil Uncle was, and will always be, close to Sai Baba. His life was a testament to his unwavering faith, and we are consoled by the thought that he now rests in the divine presence of Baba, continuing his spiritual journey in the celestial realms.
While words can hardly capture the depth of our sadness, we want you to know that you are not alone in this grief. Anil Uncle's memory will forever be cherished and celebrated as an integral part of our family. His legacy of love, devotion, and compassion will continue to live on in our hearts and guide us on our paths.
Please accept our heartfelt sympathies, and know that we are here for you and your family during this difficult time. May Sai Baba's blessings bring you peace and comfort, and may Anil Uncle's soul find eternal rest in His divine embrace.
With deepest sympathy and love,
Sood family

Our beloved only God Sri Sathya Sai Baba varu created many Golden instruments for the purpose of his mission. Late Sri Anil Kumar Garu is one among the most valuable Gem in Swami's crown. The loss of your father is not only a loss to your family but a great loss to the entire world. After Swami left his body , Anil Kumar sir filled the complete gap of sorrow and solace to all the devotees in the world. Whenever we visited Puttaparthi, we used to have Swami's darshan & later looked around Kulwant Hall to trace sir. I hope that, even though the world is so dark right now, your family will see some light in the memories your family had with your great father. I sincerely pray to Swamy to protect & give good strength to your family.

TRIBUTE FROM DALLAS CENTER, USA
Loving Sairam to Everyone:
We are very saddened to hear the news about our Dearest Uncle Anil Kumar and loving father of Dallas Sai Center.
A person who was always jovial and full of energy.
I remember several occasions when we visited with uncle and aunty in Parthi, he would always let devotees who wanted to see him during that period we visited. "Let's please reschedule our appointment for another day as I have my children visiting from Dallas Sai Center." Uncle shared a tremendous amount of love with all of us.
Uncle always mentored a lot of us who were chosen by Swami to serve as center officers. He always taught us to capture the audience in 3 minutes of any talk and the rest will be history. We are blessed to have shared numerous visits, amazing satsangs, and meals with Uncle, as he had names for everyone. Shushi was known as the Starbucks lady.
We will miss our uncle/father and will always remember him in our hearts. His love is always with everyone. Dearest Uncle, thank you for all your blessings to our family.
Our deepest condolences to the immediate family members in Dallas, sister Sarojini, brother Shyamji, Nirupam, Anupam, and also all other members in India and USA.
Thank you dearest Bhagawan Baba for sharing Anil Kumar's uncle in our lives.
Jai Sairam.

MAURITIUS TRIBUTE
Sai Ram. Humble tribute to Professor Anil Kumar Kamaraju (25 October 1942-03 April 2024-aged 81).
An institution, a legend and a towering figure of the Sathya Sai Saga/Sai Bhāgawatam best identified as the translator of Bhagawan's Divine Discourses. He belongs to a blessed circle which includes Professor Narayana Kasturi, Professor Nanjundaiah and Dr Suri Bhagavantam. He was also a prolific public speaker and an orator par excellence, prolific author (English and Telugu), academic (Department of Biosciences, SSSIHL faculty), Principal at SSSIHL, Brindavan Campus, office bearer/State President of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations (SSSSO), Andhra Pradesh. Thus, both literally and figuratively, Professor Anil Kumar had worn many hats.
Professor Anil Kumar was imbued with a great sense of humour and spread joy to countless individuals (According to Swami, JOY stands for J-Jesus/God first, O-Others next, Y-Yourself last). He distinguished himself especially by his energy, his enthusiasm (Utsāha) and his eloquence. This attitude and approach to life is indeed a commendable one as Sri Sat Sai Baba (as uniquely pronounced by Professor) writes: "It is best that the Sadhaka under all circumstances is joyful, smiling and enthusiastic. In fact, this noble attitude is superior to even Bhakti and Jnana." (Prema Vahini).

Mauritius was blessed by his visit in April 2017.
2 pertinent aspects which Professor shared are: He had no desire for Mukti or liberation but he prayed to be born again and again so that he can recount the Vaibhavam (the stories and the glories) of the Sri Sathya Sai Avatar. This reflects selfless service of the highest order. Consequently, Anil Kumar sir can certainly lay claim to be one among the rare Jivanmuktas (one who is already liberated while living).
Moreover, Anil Kumar sir shared that Swami told his mother that Swami Himself will take care of him demonstrating that he was chosen by Mother Sai to be one among His beautiful instruments.
Furthermore, in December 2019, I was blessed to have the Darshan (sight), Sparshan (touch) and Sambhāshan (conversation) of Professor. Well, perhaps his 'Last Dance' was at the Sai Hira Convention Centre for the Centre Leaders Conference(CLC) in July 2023, which many of us were blessed to attend.
Professor Anil Kumar Kamaraju has touched innumerable lives by his smile, his warmth and his Love, leaving an indelible impact. He has definitely carved a place for himself as one of the Immortal and classic devotees of the Lord. "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them."(Shakespeare). We are grateful to have been his contemporaries.
May he rest in peace... I am grateful for this opportunity. Jai Sai Ram...
Best regards.
Faithfully yours,
Yashveer Kashyap Bunghoo from Mauritius
"He found his place in millions of hearts all over the world along with Swami."
Om Sri Sai Ram,
On one hand, it is a very hard time to accept the news of a great devotee of Swami and a highly respected academician of the highest order Prof. Kamaraju Anil Kumar leaving the physical body. On the other hand, it is felt that he got the invitation from Swami to bless us all from heaven.
My family (Myself, my Wife, and my daughter) had the great opportunity to interact with him during his visit to Visakhapatnam, particularly to Sri Satya Sai Vihar, Visakhapatnam when our daughter was studying at the school. We were overwhelmed by his inspiring us about Swami and His teachings.
I had the divine experience with Prof. Anil Kumar for the first time in 1993 when he was the Principal at Brindavan, Whitefield. It was early Sunday morning, his nephew and my good friend Dr. Narasimha Rao at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore took me to Prof Anil Kumar's house first at 4.30 AM on Sunday. Prof. Anil Kumar was very kind to take us to Swami's darshan at 6 AM and made us sit in the first row. Swami entered the hall at about 6.30 AM but we were not sure whether he would come to our side. Very unexpectedly, Swami started moving towards our side and appeared right in front of us.
It was the first time I had a darshan of Swami which has become the most memorable event in my life (Pada Namaskaram). We were involved in the divine discussions with Prof Anil Kumar at his residence as well on that day.
His contributions to the spread of Swami's message are ever remembered as he is always with us, though not physically. The immense contribution of Prof Anil Kumar to the world of Spirituality cannot be expressed in words unless one experiences divine feelings with Sai.
He found his place in millions of hearts all over the world along with Swami.

When the Avatar descends on Earth, He brings with Himself chosen ones who have the coveted privilege of fulfilling roles in His Mission. One such unique instrument in the Avataric Mission of Sri Sathya Sai was Anil Kumar sir.
We all have seen the nearness and dearness that Anil Kumar sir enjoyed with Bhagawan; but what everybody is not aware is of the extensive amount of work, energy spent by sir in spreading Swami’s message - initially in every nook & corner of Guntur & Andhra Pradesh and later in every part of India & abroad as well. Through his life, Anil Kumar sir, showed us the way to get near & dear to Bhagawan
We all have seen the humor, joy & perpetual energetic cheer on the visage of Anil Kumar sir but what is unseen is the purity of purpose that Sir had developed through internal Sadhana & discipline. Through his life, Anil Kumar sir, showed us the way to be always happy
Truly Anil Kumar Sir was that instrument, was that lamp which Bhagawan used to show the path to other spiritual seekers. It is no coincidence that Swami’s message reached the masses through this translator of His, who had translated in word & deed the message of His Master.
Personally, sir would always lovingly associate me as my grandfather, Sri AchiRaju's grandson and I would be amazed how he would remember so many people, their families, etc
Reverential Pranaams to sir who made himself endearing to so many devotees

A great soul, with a life long bonding, mutually with Swami. Childlike in his bonding with Swami. A profound translator to humanity the gems of divine thoughts and upadesh to humanity for decades, Anil kumar is irreplaceable and in Sai Purana will be remembered as a legend. Technology has made his voice and delivery of Swami’s discourses immortal. We will ever miss his full-throated talks, humorous ad libs and banters with Swami, glowing with love.

Thank you so much Sailaja! I said my prayers. He looked so peaceful. A great soul and the most spiritual human I have ever known.
Thank you. Will there be a YouTube link ? How are you all doing?
Thinking about you everyday. I told my sister in India, she was sad too and understood the pain saying friend’s father would be like a father too. All of you are so blessed to have such loving parents. How is your mother doing?
Wish and hope you are all coping with each other’s presence and finding the way to carry the torch of his teachings and especially how he walked his own talks.
Much love, always.

TRIBUTE OF LKV SHYAMALA, CHAMRAJAPET
From VK Kadam:
Sairam Sir
I got a humble privilage to share a tribute to Late Prof Anil Kumar Kamaraju varu yesterday during the Chamraj Pet Sri Sai Bhjan session. Sharing below excerpts of the brief overview:
Offered prayers to Swamivaru & requested Him to vet & guide my talk addressed to the Sri Sai Devotees...
- Informed about the importance of Chamrajpet in Blore were in Swamivaru visited devotees residence during early life, Viz Late Smt Sakamma and Late Sri Krishnan & others.
- Late Sri Anil Kumar Kamaraju garu is a disciple & not a devotee, handpicked by Swamivaru to translate Bhagawan's Sandesh from the order of eminent speakers, viz Late Sri Suri Bhagawantam garu, Late Sri V K Ghokak garu & Sri Narasimhamurthy garu.
- Sri Anil Kumar garu spent about 50 years in Sri Vari Seva. He's classified as a disciple & was called Lord Hanuman or Lord Narada by devotees.
- He had excellent command over translating Swamivaru's speech from Telugu to English with minimal mistakes for the benefit of one & all.
- He had deep knowledge of Scriptures.
- During his tenure as principal of the Brindawan campus, he was asked to seek a wish by Swamivaru. Prof AK Sir declined to accept any favour from Swamivaru, despite the offering to get Mukthi. Prof AK Varu declined the same, saying that he has every thing with him & as he is not sure what Mukthi is, he requested Swamivaru to bless him to be an instrument in spreading Sri Sai Avatara Vaibhavam across every nook & corner of the world & weather away. The same was granted by Swamivaru & he offered Sri vari padanamaskaram..
- Prof AK garu used to roar lake a lion while translating Swamivaru' s discourses for the listening pleasure of all.
- During Swamivaru' s sudden demise, which was a shock to one & all bringing the PN activities to a grinding halt, this was the time Prof AK garu assumed the role of spokesman & answered the most difficult questions of the media & summarized what Swamivaru accomplished in one Janma which would take 500 yrs for any devotee who was focused & motivated to accomplish.
- During the formative years Prof AK garu served SSSSO AP as state President founded by Swamivaru & could have very easily taken over the reigns of the Administration of PN but he desisted with utmost humility. He served the Sri Sai Mission continously till his last breath with utmost humility & free from ego, in keeping with Swamivaru's teachings to all.
- Prof AK garu demise was unpredictable as Sir was in good health & spirits & has come to all as a rude shock leaving behind a vacuume defficult to fulfill.
Sir during one of the interactions on as to how devotees are handling Swamivaru' s Sandesh clarified that in the Samarpan talks eminent speakers are delivering talk, but disheartening to see personal glorification rather than Swamivaru' s avatar vaibhavam which should be corrected ....
Offered one minute silence & concluded the talk
PN Seva Rep: Though u are soooomuch younger pranaam sir, for most appropriate Loving tribute to the greatest ever devotee of all yugas Sir

Our family has been blessed to have Uncle Anil Kumar Garu and Aunty as cherished souls for several decades. I vividly recall our initial meeting with Uncle in Whitefield when he was serving as the Principal of the Brindavan Campus of SSSIHL. It was there that my father and he forged an instant heart-to-heart connection. Uncle graciously offered to give us a tour of the campus, where we were privileged to witness the places where Bhagawan used to interact with the students. Following the tour, Uncle kindly invited us for lunch, providing us with the opportunity to meet Aunty and the rest of the family. He took great pride in introducing us to everyone, including Bro. Shyam and Sis. Sarojini. During this time, our son Vishnu had the pleasure of playing with their son Nirupam.
As the years passed, our relationship with Uncle and Aunty deepened. Despite Uncle's busy schedule and constant company, his face would always light up with joy upon seeing my father and me in the Sai Kulwant hall after Swami’s darshan. He would inquire about my mother and other family members, a gesture that continued even after my father's passing.
On another occasion, Uncle visited Seattle and addressed a gathering there, where I had the privilege of being part of the organizing committee. This provided us with an opportunity to spend quality time with both Uncle and Aunty. During this time, we discovered that Aunty is also an excellent speaker in her own right. Later, when we relocated from Seattle to Austin, we were delighted to reunite with Uncle. I distinctly remember him loudly calling out my name from near the stage, displaying his enthusiasm upon seeing my wife and me. Once again, we were fortunate to share a meal with both Uncle and Aunty.
Amongst all of Uncle Anil Kumar’s remarkable qualities, two stand out vividly. Firstly, the genuine brightness that illuminated his face each time we met, reflecting his warmth and affection. Secondly, his fervent love for bhajans, where he would passionately play the kanjira and engage the group in singing the Lord’s name. Here is a picture of his infectious enthusiasm.

Uncle's devotion earned him the endearing nickname, "Swami’s Hanuman," a trait we were privileged to witness firsthand.

My ❤ too is feeling our Beloved Prof. Anil is so welcomed in Swami’s loving arms.
Sometimes I would feast on his communal aura passing by him after Samadhi Darshan.
There wasn’t much of an opportunity to stand next to him
Since all the men would eagerly await for him to come out of Sai Kuwant Hall.
He greeted each person with joy, reverence and sweet soft voice.
Even that would fill me.
So grateful for those days.

WE WERE SO MESMERISED BY HIS TALK & THE SNIPPETS HE SHARED WITH SWAMI & HE ALSO MENTIONED THAT THERE WERE STILL SEVERAL DECADES OF TREASURES ON SWAMI SAFELY BURIED AND HE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF UNEARTHING AND PUBLISHING THEM.
I ALSO HAD THE GREAT PRIVILEGE OF BEING WITH PROF. ANIL KUMAR SIR DURING HIS VISIT TO SSSIHMS, WHITEFIELD HOSPITAL IN DECEMBER 2023.
WE SHALL ALWAYS REMEMBER THOSE CHERISHED MOMENTS ALL OUR LIVES. HIS LOVE FOR EACH & EVERY BEING, SO REMINISCENSE TO SWAMI’S MESSAGE, WAS SO EVIDENT DURING OUR BRIEF CONVERSATION WITH HIM.

Sairam,
We took our new born to Parthi in November 2011, my in-laws live in Samadhi road. So I was walking to Prashanthi Nilayam, carrying my 6-7 month old baby boy.
I was crossing the road, Prof. Anil Kumar garu gets off a car, to cross the road. I did namaskarams to him and showed my baby. He touched his head with such loving and smiling gestures, that I can never forget. I always missed him, when he visited California for lectures, but I did meet him in blessing my boy and me.
As he always said in his lectures, may Baba bring him back again to tell Swami’s stories/glory to the world with such friendly and joyful nature
We love Sri. Anil Kumar garu

THIS GROUP HAD A SATSANG WITH PROF ANIL KUMAR ON MARCH 6, 2024
We have been so honoured and lucky to have met Professor Anil Kumar on the last days of February, 2024. He made sure that everyone laughed and giggled, felt really comfortable, even those who didn't speak English. How did he achieve that? His lively smiling eyes said it all. The moment he looked at you, you immediately felt like you didn't need to worry even though you had this realization you were speaking to Swami's personal translator himself!
His witty jokes were a clear sign that his mind was as sharp as of a 20 -year-old person - his mind did not age! When he was speaking, it felt as if he was breathing the truth into your hearts and minds. One could clearly visualise his stories and felt the ambience of those places he went to. With his funny stories about his adventures as Sai's translator, he made us feel Swami's presence there in that room.
When our meeting was almost over, he started singing one bhajan, and when I turned my head to look at him, I saw Anil Kumar, yes, but then in hindsight, I knew it was not Anil Kumar, but The Divine Presence singing through him.
As I am writing about my wonderful experience now in the comfort of my own home, thinking back to those stories and his witty comments, inspirational quotations, I have goosebumps realizing it was Swami all along.

Seeing Professor Anilkumar dancing madly on stage during a Krishna bhajan.
After his discourse, on his visit to Kerala years before, a friend of mine sitting by my side enquired secretly, “Is everything ok with him?”I kept mum then but whispered in my core: “Here is the demo of the Great Chaitanya dancing through the streets with devotion, forgetting everything. He belongs to another world!”

*He was the English Voice of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai. Blessed to be His translator, Anil Kumar sir excelled with extraordinary modulation of voice in matching Swami's sweet voice with his baritone powerful one. He was happiness personified and after Bhagawan's Maha Samadhi, became the centre of attraction to devotees outside Sai Kulwant Hall. Full of humour and rich in language, he was Translator par Excellence! He leaves a void that can scarcely be filled, but, happily his voice will live for ever!*,

I really want to share a beautiful reminiscence of our beloved Uncle which he told me in earlier days of our meeting.
He said, during his childhood his grandfather who was a staunch ' Bramho (from Bramha Samaj background) and spiritual person who used to sing bhajans in their Pooja room it seems. And uncle being a small four or five year old boy, used to jump madly listening to his grandfather's bhajans.
Their grandparents used to kiss him in wonder and gaiety looking at his innocent response..
Uncle is indeed the chosen instrument of our dear Lord

A journey from speaking about Swami (as His orator) to speaking with Swami (as His translator) to speaking for Swami (as His representative)! That has been the beautiful life journey of Prof. Anil Kumar Kamaraju, aka Anil Kumar Sir aka MAK!
Several books can be written and movies made about sir's experiences with Bhagawan Sri #sathyasai Baba but every incident is as complete as a book or a movie! Here is one that I hold very dear to my heart and I have heard it from sir himself in an interval between the darshan and bhajan in the mandir.
It was one of those many occasions when Swami had been 'upset' with Anil Kumar sir. Even Swami could not manage to keep up the pretence of being upset for long with His dear 'Hanuman'! So, He called him in to Trayee Brindavan. Swami was on the jhoola (swing) reading a letter. He showed a portion of it to Anil Kumar sir. There, the writer had complained about Anil Kumar sir with many false allegations. "What about this Anil Kumar?" Swami asked."You know everything Swami, I shall not say anything", came the reply.
"No! I am asking what action should I take against this person..." Swami clarified."Swami, he is a child. Just forgive him please," replied the genial professor."Anil Kumar!" exclaimed Swami rising from the seat and embraced him. Anil Kumar sir also embraced Him back. It was like how in Treta Yuga Rama had hugged Hanuman! Truly, Anil Kumar sir is Swami's translator because he truly translated Swami's message of selfless love into his life!!By the way, he was called MAK though his initials spelled KAK because the acronym stood for 'Mic Anil Kumar'. On the 3rd of April, 2024, as sir departs from his blessed physical frame, I am just numbed. But 'Hanuman' is always a 'Chiranjeevi' (one who lives eternally). Many have been the requests for a video on sir's life with Sai. Please give me some time to digest what has happened and to collect his most wonderful experiences...

Om Sri Sai Ram,
I was so fortunate to hear one of Professor Anil Kumar's talks in person when he visited Scarborough, Ontario, Canada back in around 2008 or so. One of the main points that I took away from that talk was that we need to transform ourselves, to change our primitive habits and behaviors to that of love and service as stated so much by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. It is so refreshing to hear Swami's lessons being taught so clearly, so passionately, so kindly by Professor Anil Kumar.
Recently, I had been thinking so much about Professor Anil Kumar's talk from 2008 and Professor Anil Kumar's life itself while immersing myself in our Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's teachings - in fact, I have been hoping that I would be able to meet him again one day to relish in Baba's experiences together. Although, the latter is not possible in this lifetime, I am certain I will meet him along with our loving Bhagawan again and continue Bhagawan's message of love and service forever more.
Professor Anil Kumar is such a fortunate, blessed and courageous man to have had all of the tremendous direct and personal experiences with Bhagawan Himself! May his loving and amazing talks continue to spread the world and be of great use for generations to come.
Jai Sai Ram.
With love,
-Minoli Pathirane

Professor Anil Kumar is a great gift to our society for those who are aspiring to grow in the Spiritual path.
His momentous translation of Baba speech is very, very effective to create an immediate spiritual transformation in all the devotees.
I had the privilege of Driving Professor Anil Kumar in my vehicle from Milwaukee (USA) to Chicago (USA) for a Sai retreat, and the spiritual insight I got from him had a tremendous positive impact on my Spiritual path.
Having Professor Anil Kumar by the side felt like holding the torch in the darkness.
May his soul be merged in the Almighty.
Our thoughts are prayers are with all Sai Family members.
Special thanks to Dr. Sailaja garu & Dr. Krishna garu for getting us closer to Professor Anil Kumar during the early days of our Spiritual Journey.
Thanks, Anand & Swapna

Tribute to Prof. Anil Kumar by Prof. Balu Karanam
Sairam,
Following is a poem dedicated to Prof. Anil Kumar:
What an inspiring life a beautiful flower has!
Reflecting the divine aesthetics of our dear Lord;
And when its sojourn ends with the frame of the plant,
It finds itself at His feet, in its master’s abode.
As Prof. Anil Kumar sir left his mortal frame,
A divine life came to its worldly completion;
A life spent in the smiling companionship of the Lord,
A life that shone in the brilliance of Devotion.
Lives of such souls are not akin to those of ordinary men,
For they leave behind footprints that have the ability to guide;
At many a treacherous point in our own earthly journeys,
Sir’s experiences can help in smoothening the ride.
When doubts creep into our small little minds,
When our faith is disturbed, becoming shaky and bit wobbly;
Remember, how sir first came into Swami’s fold,
Through the skepticism of Brahmo-Samaj, embedded in his family.
When spirituality becomes for you a mere formality,
When your devotion does not flow but simply lingers;
To bring back the necessary enthusiasm in your sadhana,
Remind yourself the episode of sir with the Chekka bhajan singers.
To relieve you from the troubles caused by routine disturbances,
To lighten up your mood in a day sans any bit of humour;
To give you assurance that Swami cares for your tiny issues,
Recall Sir’s experience in Brindavan with the pressure cooker.
And when life throws at you some troubles and tribulations,
When your successful flight is disturbed by a surprise failure;
Know that, it was apparently a technical professional demotion,
That elevated sir from the position of a faculty to the translator.
As we recall many such beautiful instances from sir’s life,
Let us imbibe the valuable lessons for us to follow;
For, the flower that leaves today to be at the Lord’s feet,
Inspires many more buds to blossom tomorrow.
Thank you.
With regards,
Kalyan

Professor Anil Kumar would come like a sweet Breeze into the class. He has complete command over Botany. Once I had a chance to go around Puttaparthi with him and other faculty. It was a bit of forest area and he just picked up some vegetation and started explaining me about the nitty gritty of that vegetation. He is all aware about the disc florets and ray florets which are the male and female parts of the flower, He had a knack of explaining complex life cycles of pteridophytes and gymnosperms and other plants in a simple way.
It's all the same: he explains the teachings of Swami in the same lucid way as he used to teach us botany. He always motivates and is one of the most cheerful persons I have ever come across. He has many times explained to us that spirituality is the joy of enlightenment His very aura generates the joy of spirituality. He has a great sense of humor.
Swami always wanted him around. He explained in one of his earlier talk that his sole aim was to make Swami laugh and smile instead of burdening Swami with a plethora of his problems. It was his motto when Swami was on his earthly sojourn in his divine body, he never wrote a letter to Swami because he did not want to ask and want something personal from Swami. His motto remains the same today. He makes us laugh and smile and he directly takes us to that Era of Swami when he basked in glory, being so near and dear to Swami.
Two persons stand before my eyes when I think of being someone very dear to Swami. One was Mr Kasturi, whom I did not have the pleasure to watch close by. But I did have the pleasure to watch our very dear Anil Kumar sir at very close quarters, both in college and in the Mandir. He generates the same exuberance now as then, and will always do so. We are very blessed that today from his lips the glory of the Lord would be sung and heard in Prof Anil Kumar’s own voice. He is the perfect role model for me.
If I could generate the same happiness around in the same way as he generates wherever he goes, I will consider my life to be worthwhile.
We always got a glimpse of same Gita from Dr Anil Kumar’s voice as he was just like Arjuna as he posed many questions to Swami in a very humble way, and Swami always had a beautiful clarification and reply to his valid questions. I have always have been very nostalgic about the time spent with him from 1995 to 1998 period.
This was something i wrote about him and i thought of sharing if he ever comes to Haryana. But it didn't happen. Still i was able to talk to him during the last few days. i am filled with sorrow, but we all should try to emulate sir in all possible ways. He is the perfect and real role model to follow for us for generations to come.
His talks transport us to that era when Swami played pranks and laughed with him. Let's keep listening to his talks and make our life worthwhile.
I pray to Swami at this juncture to give the family strength at this moment.
May Baba bless us all.

Sairam,
The news of Prof.Anil Kumar shelving his mortal coils has certainly shaken us and made one emotional. Our thoughts and prayers are with Prof Anil Kumars family. Many have taken to social handles to express themselves. Here is one more to the many.
Prof.Anil Kumar seems to have lived a fulfilled life, literally guided by the Divine Hands in every step. His faith in Swamy, immense. The words from him, had in them the power of the Divine. He spoke directly from his heart with no other thought. Where thoughts are but the manipulation of the mind, his answers and reflections were soulful, and never at any point were meant to project himself. For him, every moment is well spent only when it had some message of Swamy in them. This General, had dedicated his everything to Swamy and spreading His message was his mission, and boy, did he do it with great aplomb, a true soldier.
He was many a times seen as the soul behind the hearty laugh of Swamy. His unassuming, down to earth, funny side has always served as a magnet in attracting many rusted souls into Swamy's fold.
We do not know if we grieve, for not being able to see and enjoy your banter or immerse ourselves in the delight that Swamy has willed to grant you, that coveted place of being one with Him. We are sure that some souls will always associate with Swamy in every avatar and in that respect, you sir, have earned that distinction and will be that Kaustubam for Swamy, always.

Please accept our Pranams and bless us to use your life as a motivation to progress in our quest for identifying Sai within us. Your life has, is and will always be that influential force in our spiritual endeavours and shall be remembered always with Sai, as His amusing reflection

Hello Sir,
I always felt you as Lord Hanuman beside Lord Rama. Your speech will wake us from any corner of the world.
When you visited Hindupur sadhan, that was my first time seeing you live and that too so near! Your speech that day was astounding.
After the speech, everyone was running for your padanamaskaram. I was standing at the last and thinking, everywhere i won't get much chances. Even Swami didn't give chance for songs and dance, and you are also at such a distance that I am not getting your padanamaskaram. Suddenly you stood up and asked the crowd to move and called me near and gave padanamaskaram and a photo with you! The conversation i was having in my mind with Sami reached you somehow! I cannot forget that day till now sir.
This was the second instance where we had been for Parthi yatra. i was in the singing team. After the songs and darshan, you were speaking with the gents' team about the program. i was feeling sad that always these opportunities are flexible (available) for gents and men. I was sharing the same with Swami in my thoughts. As soon as we entered outside the Kulwant Hall there you were standing sir! We were given blessings by you, and could speak our hearts fully with you. We got your visiting card which I kept carefully till day.
This is all not just coincidence to me. These are blessings from Swami and you that I am allowed to have. Thank you sir for being born on this earth and making this earth more beautiful by your presence.
Regards,

Our Bhagawan loving Sai Mother's love and blessing is always with Prof. Anil Kumar. Everything is planned by our Lord only. One-day Prof Anil Kumar said to Bhagawan and showed his desire to spread Bhagawan's message in his next life too. Bhagawan blessed him for this too. He will return back very soon with new energy and spread Bhagawan's message all over the world. He deserves everything from the Lord. Since last 50 years of his life with Bhagawan, he had already merged with Bhagawan in all levels of his Mind body soul as fully surrendered to Bhagawan to use him as an instrument. He had no desire except Bhagawan. I don't see any difference between Lord Sai and him at Soul level. His dedication will definitely inspire all Sai devotees across the Globe forever. .

Prof Anil Kumarji is a wonderful personality whom I admired the most. His humour, the innocent childish smile when he speaks is everlasting memories for all.
Actually when he speaks it appears to me that words don't come from his mouth but his heart. What good deed he must have performed in his previous birth that he was always in close proximity with the Avathar. Where there is Rama, there is Hanuman. So he has reached Swami's abode.
What a blessed soul! RIP

Humble Tribute To Prof. Anil Kumar Sir.
I have always admired sir for his devotion and dedication to Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Though I was never blessed to experience Swami in His Physical form, it was by listening to Prof. Anil Kumar Sir's translation of Bhagwan's discourse in English I could feel and experience Swami's Divine teachings. It was through him that Swami brought me closer to his Divine care and love. Every word of Bhagwan translated by him has brought me closer to Swami's Divine path.
Sir, when you shared your experiences with Swami, you brought Swami in front of me. I'm feeling short of words to explain this .
Though you have merged with the Lotus Feet of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, every Sai devotee will remain closer and closer to Him by listening to your videos on Bhagwan.

Sathya Sai Baba - A Tribute to Prof Anil Kumar
OmSaiRam
What tribute can be paid to someone like Prof Anil Kumar - someone whose life itself was a tribute to God? Swami Himself accepted and appreciated Prof Anil Kumar's devotion and his service. I do not think any words of appreciation or any tributes are necessary from my side, neither am I capable of a befitting tribute. All the same, I write to express gratitude and to share the warmth I received from him. In a world criss-crossed with social conflicts and personal confusions, where no one has any time for anyone, Anil Kumar Babayi and Vijaya Pinni ( who were themselves busy at the time) took a lot of time and trouble to travel for me. Those who give time and take trouble for others - God finds space and love for them - and so it has been with Prof Anil Kumar. Om Sai Ram.

Prof. Anil Kumar was a great ambassador for Swami both during Swami's physical sojourn on this earth and after His departure. Particularly after His departure. Prof. Anil kumar had the rare gift of a combination of oratory and humor. This along with his unbelievable energy brought Swami live to various Swamis audiences. Even though I wasn’t fortunate to know Prof. Anil Kumar personally, his podcasts and talks brought cheer to me and my family.
I remember one outstanding summer in 2002 where I was close enough in the verandah to listen to the humorous banter, to and fro, between Swami and Prof. Anil Kumar. Many of the questions that Prof. Anil Kumar had asked Swami were ones that we had but couldn’t ask. It was spirituality being made easy and made available to the public at large. Prof. Anil Kumar had a blessed life and has become a part of Swami’s history. While Prof. Anil Kumar’ s departure is extremely sad, his life needs to be celebrated.

Once Anil Kumar Sir came to East Delhi Shresth Vihar in Poonam Mittal house . So After bhajan everyone was asking some questions to him .I also asked Prof Anil Kumar -i asked him, Sir I'm not doing sewa in samithi , I'm a teacher. So he said, You are doing sewa as a teacher . This answer was related to the answer Swami gave in my mom's dream in 1986 when i changed my job from artist to teacher in Delhi public school. Swami told my mom, "One good teacher 100 ,1000 good students pass through her. Our swami is great and Swami ke jo saath rahey as translator Respected Professor Anil Kumar ji is also blessed soul . With great sadness in my heart, I share with you the sad news that is already known all over the world, Professor Anil Kumar left his body today at 10:10 am in the Super specialty hospital, in Prashanti Nilayam, India.
Family father, missionary, college teacher, faculty director and many other positions he held distinguishedly throughout his life, but the one which undoubtedly was his greatest assignment, translator for more than two decades of our beloved Sathya Sai Baba.
Devotee in the full extent of the word who, moreover, spread the message of love, service and devotion throughout the world, with his talks full of love, wisdom and teaching for all who would hear him.
When he came to Mexico on his first visit to Latin America, we had the joy in our family to host him in our home, we never imagined the bond of love that we would forge and that to this day we remained intact.
Throughout his stay we could have many talks and above all, many teachings, exceptional speaker always eager to share the teachings of our beloved Master not only in words but in practice, we called his Mexican family, my children were his grandchildren and our house, his home.
One night eating dinner like any family in the kitchen, I asked him with great respect:
Teacher, why us, why do we have this joy of having it here in our house?
Since in my mind, I did not understand why this great joy of being able to serve Him had been granted to us, without much thought and immediately answered me:
When Swami allowed me to start this journey, I only asked him one thing, that instead of being I could be in the company of a family that was like mine, so that I would not miss during the journey my loved ones, it also turns out that at that time, one of their daughters, who was more or less the age of Gloria, my wife and her grandchildren, like me, were about the same age, immediately felt welcomed, happy, as in his home, but he added: it is clear to me that something very good we must have done so much me like you in other lives so that Swami has gathered us like this.
In Mexico, I had the pleasure of being his translator, ironically the translator of the translator and I must confess that he liked as he did helping me at all times, so I could realize how difficult and unimaginable was his responsibility in all the speeches he was in present with our beloved Sai , undoubtedly a great work that will endure eternally.
When we returned to India a year after his visit, we had the joy of meeting again, in the middle of the Mandir, before Darshan, I called my children and walked with them, hugging them and giving them affection, many people asked him: Anil Kumar, who are those children? and he with a big smile and full of pride said: they are my grandchildren from Mexico, so that later continue walking among people.
We had the opportunity to have a talk with him with the Mexico group and when he finished, he invited us to his house, now he was the host, we lived together, talked, he gave us gifts, but more than anything else, we became family again, united by love.
His departure today fills me with sadness, but without doubt the great love he had for our beloved Sai, forged the path of bliss through which I transit, as my son told me today, before we knew the sad news:
"Dad, don't worry, surely he is very happy, because if for some reason he has to go, surely he will be very happy to be able to meet again with our beloved Sai Baba, you must be happy for him"
Thank you dear Anil, for all you gave us, we will always carry you in our hearts, with lots of love, until the day we meet again.

April 4, 2024
Every Sai devotee's beloved, Prof. Anil Kumar, who dedicated his entire life spreading the message of Sri Sathya Sai Baba breathed his last in Swami's Super specialty hospital peacefully surrounded by his children.
Doctors tried their best by putting Prof. Anil Kumar on ventilator support but it was Swami's call to take him to HIM.Just when the doctors announced Prof. Anil Kumar's merging with Swami, at 10:10 am, the hospital sound system was playing Hanuman Chalisa, a divine *Sai-incidence* and a tribute for His Hanuman , Prof. Anil Kumar, who stood for Swami till his last breath.
His missionary zeal and comforting presence will be remembered fondly by devotees. His contributions, both before and after Sri Sathya Sai Baba's Mahasamadhi, leave an indelible mark to the entire Sai community
Prof. Anil Kumar will be remembered for his excellent oratory skills, laughter and a living example to be loyal to the divine come what may.
Miss you Sir

I was so blessed to be the translator of the translator of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. On a few occasions when Iranians were coming in big groups from Iran, they were always requesting that Sr. Anil Kumar have Satsang with them, and graciously he accepted every single time. I was fortunate to translate English into Farsi, our Iranian language.
I remember one time in March, Iranians came for our new year to Parthi. The weather was very hot and I invited everybody to come to my apt, and Mr. Anil Kumar accepted to come as well. I felt so blessed to have such a noble and dedicated soul to our beloved Baba put his foot in my place.
Mr. Anil Kumar even though we are going to miss you, I would never cry. We devotees will celebrate your life as long as we are in our bodies.
You always inspired Bhagawan’s devotees. I pray for all of us to practice hard and achieve some of your qualifications.
Your body may gone, but you will never be forgotten. ❤

Prof Anil Kumar garu is an embodiment of Love blended with wit and wisdom. Sir mentioned the true meaning of translation. Sir lived up to Bhagawan's expectations and hence he won the hearts of millions of Bhagawan's devotees. His simplicity and ego-free friendly nature put him at the lofty heights of Academic and Spiritual fronts.
I happened to see & met him in Pedana,Krishna Dist of AP. It was in 1987 and sir was the state president of SSSSO.He attracted all the youth with his inspiring talk in that program. Since then,I along with my brothers have been participating in Service activities in many facets viz,Bal Vikas,Service and spritual wings.
We never missed the chance of meeting him (when ever such opportunity comes),only to listen to him on his loving interactions with Divine.
Later I joined in the institute. My association with him (1994-2013)was memorable in the sense, official tasks besides being his exchanging day to day experiences(afresh) with Bhagawan.
Even after 2013, until 2019 I had a chance of continuing my holy friendship by virtue of my position to help him in his IT matters,of course,in exchange of pearls of practical & spiritual wisdom!
I had the blessed opportunity to listen to his talk (live) given to the students & staff in our Institute's Auditorium on 29 th February, 2024.
All these years, He motivated me to discharge my work with a feeling of satisfaction through dedication (as worship).
In Mandir, many a time, I happened to sit his nearby and had a good fortune to witness & listen to "wonderful Dialogue between Swami and Sri Anil Kumar Sir".
When Swami speaks to someone, we feel that it was just with somebody. But,surprisingly, when Swami speaks to Anil Kumar garu, every body feels that Swami is speaking to them and enjoy! The reason is, Anil Kumar sir immediately shares that joyous Sambhashana (interaction)with all!
He has no jealous,no hatred, no reservations,no attitude problem and no inferiority complex. That's why, he proved his often quoted maxim 'Noru manchidaithe Vooru manchidavutiundhi"! (Everything good when words are good & soothing!).
My prayerful respects and homage to the noble soul!

Tribute from Dr Rama Jayavanth, Kathmandu, Nepal
Om Sairam! We were devastated by the news that Prof. Anil Kumar Sir is no more. Indeed, a very sad day for his family and all of us. Every time, we listened to Swami’s discourse, invariably we had a chance of hearing Prof. Anil Kumar’s brilliant instant translation; what a God-given talent! Whenever he was invited as a guest speaker, whether in India or abroad, it was an immeasurable delight to hear him. We enjoyed his profound oratory skills often laced with subtle humor that tickled us immensely. Surely, we all will miss his physical presence, but he will continue to be with us through the vast treasure he has left behind, in the form of books, videos, audio recordings, etc.
I fondly remember the day I met Prof. Anil Kumar, and his wife, Smt. Vijayalakshmi at their residence in Puttaparthi. It was a Sunday, 12 December 2021, my day-off from the General Hospital, where I had volunteered to work for a couple of weeks. When I reached his doorstep, I saw he was busy discussing with a carpenter about some work in his house. But seeing me, he welcomed me with a loving smile, but gently chided me for taking the trouble to bring the packet of sweets and fruits. I expressed in Telugu that Swami used to say that when one visits someone, they should not go with empty hands!
At once, in his inimitable humorous manner, he smilingly asked me in Telugu, “So, do you follow all the teachings of Swami?” I told him, “Not all, but at least let me try to follow one teaching”! He started laughing. I also handed over a book of poems authored by my husband for his reading pleasure which he accepted. His wife lovingly offered some prasadam and coffee.
After preliminary introductions, when he came to know that we are at present residing in Kathmandu, Nepal, he wanted me to join the "Sreemayi WhatsApp group". He handed over his phone to me without hesitation and asked me to add my phone number to the group, on his behalf as he was the admin/founder of that group. I am ever grateful for his loving gesture because I had the privilege of periodically participating in Satsang activities and listening to Swami's speeches on Sreemayi.
May Swami give enough strength to his family members to cope with this irreparable loss. May his soul rest in eternal peace! Om Shanti Om!

Tribute from Dr Pratap Jayavanth
The sad news that Prof Anil Kumar has left us suddenly came as a bolt from the blue. Prof. Anil Kumar’s philosophical eloquence and extraordinary skills in translating Swami’s discourses were indeed a divine inheritance. As a story-teller, he was indeed matchless! The manner in which he described ordinary events and mixed it with a generous measure of sidesplitting wittiness, did not fail to send the audience into uncontrollable bouts of laughter!
His unannounced entry during the medical camps at North Block-1, Prashanti Nilayam, was his way of humbly reaching out to the doctors, paramedical staff and volunteers. But for all of us doing medical seva, it was always thrilling to see him and say, “Sairam, Sir”! He always made it a point to lovingly inspire us with the prophetic words, “Bhagawan will bless each one of you and all your family members too, for the service you have rendered”! What a blessing it was to hear those precious words which will resound in our ears for all time!
Undoubtedly, we will miss his physical presence! Nonetheless as Swami’s translator par excellence, Prof. Anil Kumar will always be remembered for the legacy he has left behind; his precious contributions as a great speaker, prolific writer and spiritual guide are recorded for eternity.
Our heartfelt condolences to his family members.
May his soul rest in eternal peace! Om Shanti Om!

Anil Kumar Sir Memories
At Parthi I had the fortune of hearing Bhagwan's discourses with A.K. Sir translation about ten times.
His humor and mastery of English to the tune of Swami's Telugu was a blessing to me, who was lacking Telugu knowledge.
Not just that, but Swami giving him looks of appreciation and at times like to a naughty child, are memories to stay. It was Divine.
With Gratitude and love ,

Tribute to our dearest Uncle Anil Kumar..
When Divinity descends on earth, it manifests instruments through which it could easily communicate its presence to the masses.
An enlightened being residing in another dimension might not communicate successfully as his language is mostly silence.
So it chooses an ordinary being who could effectively use the human system of communication based on words and sentences.
So Divine Sai chose a very ordinary down to earth scholar, Pro Anil Kumar.

He was humble
He was gifted with high sense of humour
He was honest
He was not the typical stereo typed Sai devotee with a plastic smile & Sairam cry.
He was loved by all for these qualities.
He would always be remembered for his unparalleled bubbling personality

PROF ANIL KUMAR'S VISIT TO CANADA - MAY 17 TO MAY 28, 2008
OM SAI RAM!
My dearest professor,
When you came into my life, you brought with you, joy, love, wisdom and more! You accepted me as I am and called me “family”. You treated me like family. My heart and soul felt one with you. When you walked into my home, you said: "I feel like I am walking into a temple.” We all felt that way because as you entered, the atmosphere became holy, sweet and strangely peaceful and joyful at the same time!
You have been and always will be an eternal reminder of contentment and Divine brilliance! You have and will continue to brighten up my life for as long as God wills it. I will never bid you goodbye as you will always live in my heart, forever! Please accept my Gratitude and Love eternal!
Until we are all one!

Sir was a person full of love and enthusiasm, from his actions I could make how humble he was.
His speech always got me connected to Swami and it made a direct impact on me.
Always smiling and sparkling.
Wonderful memories during his visit to Goa , he talked to everyone very closely and as if he knew me already from so long as Swami did.
You will missed always but in our hearts forever.

My loving Sai Ram Dear Sir, greetings from Mauritius. Today, we have lost a great personality. Prof. Anil Kumar has merged with Swami. He will be remembered for his tireless service and infinite love for Swami. His unflinching devotion and dedication towards Swami and the devotees around him will always remain incomparable. The way he used to support the devotees will definitely be missed by devotees who were close to him. Even upon his visit to Mauritius, we still cherish fond memories of him and his loving and insightful guidance. The short period we spent together will certainly be remembered with humility. We are confident that Swami is openly welcoming him. We will not be able to thank Prof Anil Kumar enough. May his soul get Sadgati.

Pavan Kumar Mangu,
I am writing in found memory of Anil Kumar sir. Prof Anil Kumar was my lecturer at Parthi between 1995-98. He was a family friend and was very close to my grandfather Dr. M N Rao. My grandfather Dr Rao was his guru’s guru. He had immense affection for grand pa and me. We met regularly for non academic purposes and spoke at length.
I was once traveling on an assignment to Bangalore years after my education at Puttaparthy. While at Kacheguda station I noticed a lot of people escorting someone into the 2nd class coach of the train I had boarded. I assumed it was some VIP.
Soon the crowd arrived at the cubicle where I was seated and out of the crowd emerged our own Anil Kumar sir. He sat right next to me and was talking to a lot of people and hence had failed to recognize me.
After his hosts left and the train had left the station, I looked at him and asked him how he was. He still didn't recognize me but said he was ok. I then introduced myself and told him who I was! His eyes lit up.
We spoke all the way. I made his bed. He told me some Kodai stories and we had a lovely time recollecting amazing Swamy instances and miracles. I was in touch with him and called him every time I visited Parthi. I met him a couple of times too. Though I saw he was losing health, his zeal to serve Swamy never went down. His energy levels were always the same for Sai and Sai activities.
He is a great soul, a great teacher and I will always recall him as "Papa bear", always loving and smiling and spreading the message of love. The message of our own Sai! Jai Sai Ram!

IN MEMORY, MARILYNNE HUNT
We met Professor Anil Kumar 30 years ago. He was giving talks in Kodaikanal and after a few days he came to our hotel room to meet some friends and talk about Swami.
During the meeting people wanted to take photographs but he asked that they do not. He said he was just a messenger and that Swami may not like it.
However some ignored that request and took their photos anyway. Interestingly when the photographs were developed of Anil, they were all black. Not one camera had taken a picture of Anil. However other photos of people in the room did develop. The hotel staff told us later that Baba had driven by the hotel when Anil was talking to us. It wasn’t until later, when we heard that none of the photos of him had developed that we understood. Swami was watching over Anil.
We met him many times after that and he was always kind, funny, and generous with his time and clearly completely devoted to Swami.
RIP Dear friend. Thank you for everything.
Our deepest condolences to your family and friends.
With love and gratitude

I had first seen him when I was a small kid. Secondly I had seen him in school; then I decided to meet him personally and by Swami's grace it happened..
I can't believe that our loving Uncle has left us. One of my remarkable movements was, Initially i thought of talking to him when I was 10th. Because he is such a great person i.e, Swami him self manifested him. When I called him through phone he talked with us smoothly and agreed our personal request, not only that he also used to call us through WhatsApp video call and blessed us. And, shocking he requested us to watch the podcasts on *Sai Wisdom* and wanted to post questions and reviews. He is such a kind and loving person. Even though he had such a great personality, he is very much down to earth. I thank Swami for this opportunity. And I’m feeling very much sad that he is no more. May sSami shower his blessings on him and us. He is one of the greatest personalities that I had seen in my life.
Thank you,
