There was a devotee named Karunamba Ramamoorthy whom Swami lovingly called Kannamma. Swami used to visit their home in Mysore. On one such occasion when Swami was about to leave she was very sad, and with heart full of devotion she cried out, "Swami, please do not forget us. Please keep us in Your heart always."
Swami did not say anything in return but asked her to bring a paper on which He wrote a beautiful poem starting thus,"Marichithi vemo madilo mammu Sainatha prabhuva"..."Please do not forget us, our Lord Sainatha"). He then said to sing this whenever they missed Swami and assured that He shall be by their side whenever it was sung. Divine assurance!!
